In my work I try to rethink the perception of values and luxury. Luxury has a very tight connection to the material. Since humankind we value precious materials like gold, diamonds or precious stones. I am questioning the relevance of these materials to the perception of values and luxury, by creating my own precious stone.

Precious materials are defined by values like rareness and accessibility. The scientific believe is that crude oil will be depleted within 70ty years. The main component of plastic will be extinct within a century which can lead to a rareness of plastic. A material we use carelessly. By making the plastic to a material of luxury I want to bring awareness to this irony.
