Our planet has a new seventh continent. It is not made out of stone and earth, it is made out of our waste. The seventh continent is approximately as big as Central Europe and consists mainly of plastic. Even the creatures that inhabit our oceans absorb this material. Also the seabed is covered with a layer of plastic. My pieces are sea creatures that, on account of the progressive sea pollution are covered by a layer of plastic. Instead of petrification everything will turn in the future into plastic. The swinging baroque plastic pieces seem alive and invite the viewer to touch the object. But the sensation that is evoked by touching the pieces is coldness and death. So they show the impact of pollution on our planet.
